In Athi River, Mlolongo, Kiu, Mtito Andei at Lukenya University, Kwale, Busia, Shimo la Tewa, Kisumu’s Kodiaga Prison and Manyani, Ummah Foundation has built mosques that are functional and Muslims in those areas are proud to fulfill their five daily obligatory prayers in permanent structures with all the auxiliary amenities. More so, those who ply the Nairobi- Mombasa highway can have their prayers at Manyani Camp prison and stop for refreshments as they proceed either way.Ummah Foundation has also finished building mosques in the north coast areas of Bamba, Dodosa and Jeshi in Kilifi County. They are now serving as prayer places and educational centres for those who have reverted to Islam. In Nairobi, we have completed the construction of a new mosque in Utawala area and in the process of embarking on another along the eastern bypass at Ruiru. These are two locations that have lacked mosques for the past decades and the constructions will bring the light of religion to the surrounding estates.
